Tilapia: exportation advancement

Tilapia fish remains as the most exported species at the 2023’s second quarter


 

The fish farming exportations has risen 3,0% in the 2023’s second quarter, When compared to the last one,earning US$6,0 million. The fresh orchilled fillets accounted for 60,0% of the total exported, and the Tilapia remains as the most esported species, with 91,0% of this total (PeixeBR).

According to Scot Consultoria data, the average price paid to the produceris in R$9,65/kg, remaining stable in fifteen days. In thirty days, there was a 7,3% drop, and in a year, 24,0% rise.

At paulista wholesale market, in the fifteen day comparison, the whole tilapia price withdrew 1,84%, meanwhile, the fillet price remained stable, being traded at R$10,31/kg and R$38,40/kg, respectvely.

At retail, in São Paulo, the tilapia fillet is priced in R$66,35/kg, a 4,7% price drop in fifteen days.

In the short period, with the arrival of the second ha fof the month and the Father’s Day, in which there is rise in beef Search, there might be price drops.
