At the first day of agenda mission from the Agricultural and Livestock Ministry (MAPA) in Saudi Arabia, the minister Carlos Fávaro met up with the Agricultural, Water and Enviroment Minister, Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen A. AlFadley, this Sunday (30), at the Saudi Arabia capital, Riad.
During the meeting, both minsters emphasized the complementarity between Brazil and Saudi Arabia for a work group formation, aiming a joint partnership structuration and implementation at the agricultural sector and agricultural inputs.
In that sense, They talked about the world’s largest sustainable food production program, headed by MAPA, to double the country’s food production area, without deflorestation.
In view of the proposal, which contributes for the climate change control and global food security, the saudi minister informed that his ministry will act towards paving the way so that the Saudi Agriculture and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC) and private companies from the country join the iniciative.
