In São Paulo, the prices are melting

In São Paulo, the downward movement of the replacement market remains in every category, males and females. This movement is also pulled by the price drops that are happening in the fat cattle market.

The drop for the weaning male calf was of 2,70%. For the yearling male calf, 2,65%. For the male calf, 2,67% and for the thin cattle, 3,85%. With it, the quotes of each category are R$1.800,00/head, 2.200,00/head, R$2.550,00/head and 3.000,00/head, respectively.

For females, the scenario was similar. The drops were of 2,88%, 3,09%, 4,88% and 4,17%, for the weaning female calf, yearling female calf, female calf and beef cow, respectively. With that, they are being negotiated at R$1.350,00/head, 1.570,00/head, R$1950,00/head and 2.300,00/head, respectively.

The prices remain pressured at the short notice, but, punctual hikes, especiially for older cattle, cannot be discarded because of the demand from the second turn of confinement, as seen in Paraná.

At the state in the Southern region, just the quotation from the weaning male calf had a negative vatriation, in comparision with last week. For the yearling male calf, the prices remained stable and, for the male calf and thin cattle, raises were indicated. In the state, the weaning male calf is being negotiated at R$2.050,00/head (-2,84%), the yearly male calf at 2.510,00/head, the male calf at R$ 2.850,00 (+1,79%) and the thin cattle, at R$3.854,00 (+3,02%).

Exchange ratio in Minas Gerais

In Minas Gerais, the exchange ratio has gotten worse for lighter categories. With that, the recreationist/invernist, can buy less bovines of replacement with the selling of a fat cattle with 19@, in the Monthly and annuallly comparison. The Only category with a positive variance was the thin cattle.

Currently, it is possible to buy 2,13 weaning male calfs, 1,82 yearling male calf, 1,55 male calf and 1,38 thin cattle. The variations are -3,3%, -1,1%, -2,1% and +2,4%, respectively, at the monthly comparison. And, these variations were: -2,9%, -1,6%, -7,0% and -5,8% in the annually comparison.
